MetroPCS has changed its rates for 4G LTE data access and have eliminated their $40 unlimited smartphone plan when they stopped offering the Samsung Craft. There are still unlimited $40 plans for 3G phones.
MetroPCS is now offering its 4G LTE smartphone customers unlimited voice, messaging, web and 1GB of streaming data for $50.00 a month.
For $60 per month, MetroPCS 4G LTE customers get the same features with unlimited streaming and access to Rhapsody or MetroStudio.
MetroPCS has also changed its commercials and dismissed the strange Tech & Talk computer geeks for cool new trendy people using Android.
The commercial tours unlimited nationwide Android for less than half the price of the big guys. It claims "Everybody's moving to Metro."
Miss Coupon Diva switched to MetroPCS and her style of acting is similar to the Tech & Talk guys.
It's unfortunate that the era of unlimited data seems to be ending. Companies are either ending their plans or raising the prices for their existing ones. This still seems like a good deal compared to others, but consumers are going to be increasingly pressed to find cheap unlimited plans.
