We have renamed TS2R Wireless News, TS2R CES Wireless News, because there were many announcements from CES. Full CES news stories today include the Windows Phone smoke-out, Nokia Lumia 900, LG Spectrum, Asus Transformer Prime 700 and  Samsung Captivate update.

Here's the news that is too short to report from CES:

  • The new LG Spectrum and Motorola Droid 4 for Verizon both contain unannounced global GSM/WCDMA roaming capability that will be enabled later this year scooped Phone Scoop.
  • T-Mobile's CTO Neville Ray said that the next iPhone will support T-Mobile 3G spectrum.
  • The  global version of the GALAXY S II,  Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab 10.1, 4G LTE-enabled Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Verizon Wireless  have been granted the Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS) certification.
  • At CES, TI will demonstrate power-efficient mobile devices used for enterprise applications, along with other compelling OMAP processor-based experiences.
  • AT&T has received the highest rating for all telecommunication firms on the 2011 Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility's Corporate Inclusion Index (HACR CII).
  • Gracenote and Garmin International demonstrate Gracenote MoodGrid in Garmin's "Everest" OEM navigation and infotainment system this week at CES 2012. Gracenote MoodGrid offers an intuitive way for drivers and passengers to navigate music collections on the open road with technology that lets them find and play songs to match their mood.
  • Major product launches from more than 3,100 exhibitors and keynotes from the leaders of Qualcomm, Mercedes and Intel launched the 2012 International CES on Tuesday.
