Droid RAZR Limited Edition to MAXX?

By Lynn Walford 02/17/2012 Tweet

Droid RAZR Limited Edition to MAXX?It seems like the Droid RAZR family is so popular that Verizon and Motorola keep coming up with more versions.  The Droid RAZR went from, black to white/purple all the way to MAXX and finally to the QWERTY Droid 4.

In April, Verizon employees reportedly will get the ionic Verizon red and black colors on a decorated discounted Droid RAZR.

Verizon employees  reportedly will be getting first dibs on limited edition Droid RAZR smartphones with a free dock, red/black patterned Kevlar backing, unique edition number and Limited Editon engraved on the front.

Employees are expected to get whole package with a dock for $99.99. This could be a indication of a price drop of the Droid RAZR that is currently $199.99 with a buy-one-get-one free and double data from Verizon Wireless.

Currently, the Droid RAZR is the best reviewed smartphone on the Verizon network.  The Droid RAZR MAXX, however has over double the battery life with almost the same hardware and software. Reviewers called the Droid RAZR MAXX battery the best smartphone battery life, ever seen.

You can buy the Droid RAZR (16 GB) or Droid RAZR MAXX  and receive a second of equal value for free.  The Droid RAZR comes in white, black or purple.  This deal is best for those who have Verizon Wireless contract already.  Yes, new Verizon customers can buy a Droid RAZR from Amazon.com for $99, but renewing customers pay $199.99. Therefore, if you are already a Verizon customer, the buy one get one free deal is your best cheapest choice.

The Droid RAZR appears in many top ten best smartphones of 2011 lists, including the top ten of all and Verizon Wireless list. Reviewers of the Droid RAZR gave it Editors' Choice and rated it high for being the fastest and thinnest for now.

The DROID RAZR MAXX  comes with 32 GB of total memory (16MB on board along with 16GB microSD card), connects to the he Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network and runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.  The DROID RAZR MAXX sells for slightly less at Amazon.com, however, it was backordered.

Both Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX work with the Lapdock 100, Lapdock 500 Pro, HD Station, HD Dock, Vehicle Navigation Dock, Smart Controller, Wireless Keyboard with Trackpad, Webtop Travel Adaptor, VGA Adaptor, HDMI Cable.
