Droid RAZR MAXX Battery Life Review of Reviews

Droid RAZR MAXX Battery Life Review of ReviewsDroid RAZR MAXX Battery Rated 4.5 out of 5 by Wireless and Mobile News' Review of Reviews

The Droid RAZR MAXX and Droid RAZR share the same processors and software but differ in that the MAXX packs a 3300mAh battery.  Verizon Wireless  is still offering the double data deal.

We give the battery a rating of 4.5 out 5 because it lasts a l-o-n-g time with its only drawback is that it can not be removed by the user.

Because the reviews were pretty much the same with the same ratings for the Droid RAZR as the Droid RAZR MAXX, instead of reviewing the reviews of the smartphone itself, we review how the mega-battery rated.

The original DROID RAZR was well-reviewed and all reviewers noted that the DROID RAZR touchscreen is gorgeous and the data speeds as well as 1.2GHz processor are very fast.  The Droid RAZR appears in many top ten best smartphones of 2011 lists, including the top ten of all and Verizon Wireless list.  If you want a physical keyboard, the Droid 4 that debuted on Friday,  has a slightly smaller screen and slide-out keyboard.

The battery life of the Droid  RAZR MAXX is the best any reviewer has ever seen for a smartphone and admired for still maintaining a slim figure.

Sascha Segan at PCMAG call the Droid  RAZR MAXX the best "Verizon battery life ever". You will not have to worry about the battery running out before the end of the day.  His tests showed 14-16 hours of talk or 3G access and 6 hours, 57 minutes for continually streaming audio over a 4G LTE connection, more than double  Droid RAZR battery tests. The Droid RAZR MAXX was given Editor's Choice for excellent all around performance for an extremely well-built smartphone.

Mark Spoonauer at Laptop Mag gave Motorola kudos for getting such a big battery in such a slim form factor that weighs in at 5.1 ounces the same as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Battery life blows away the rest of the field, lasting 8 hours and 25 minutes, better thant the Nexus at 3:40 and the RAZR at 4:45.  He called it the longest lasting 4G phone, they have ever tested.

The Droid RAZR MAXX  received superlatives for being super slim and having so much battery life which squeezed 20 hours of continuous use time.  It is called what the Droid RAZR should have been but Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is still missing.

The Nlay Patel at the Washington Post called the over double-sized battery that gives the Droid RAZR MAXX a big backside, a blunt force solution to feeding power-hunger processors and 4G LTE.  Even with the augmented battery the RAZR MAXX is thinner than the iPhone 4S.

The DROID RAZR MAXX  comes with 32 GB of total memory (16MB on board along with 16GB microSD card), connects to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network and runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.  The DROID RAZR MAXX sells for  less at Amazon.com where it is a best seller.

Both Droid RAZR and RAZR MAXX work with the Lapdock 100, Lapdock 500 Pro, HD Station, HD Dock, Vehicle Navigation Dock, Smart Controller, Wireless Keyboard with Trackpad, Webtop Travel Adaptor, VGA Adaptor, HDMI Cable.
