HTC Sensation Ready for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)

HTC CISOwners of the HTC smartphones such as the HTC EVO 3D, HTC Sensation and HTC Amaze will be happy to hear that HTC is close to getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich deployed.

HTC reported that a small group of European HTC Sensation /XE owners will get a preview of the next version of HTC software with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0.

The update will be available for a limited time while servers are readied for a full deployment.

"Our hope is people will play with it and enjoy getting used to the ICS experience with Sense," an HTC PR rep told Phone Scoop.

It has also been reported that HTC will release Android 4.0 updates by the end of March.  It is not clear when United States owners will get the update which generally takes longer for carrier approval.

HTC announced in November that Ice Cream Sandwich is coming in early 2012 to  the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL and HTC Sensation XE, as well as the HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G and HTC Amaze 4G through carrier partners.
