Samsung Galaxy S II 20 Million & Counting to Samsung Galaxy S III + Deals

Although Samsung will not release a new Samsung Galaxy S III this week at Mobile World Congress, they are bragging about the Samsung Galaxy S II  with over 20 million sold worldwide in ten months since it was introduced in April 2011.

Samsung called the Samsung Galaxy S II its "flagship" device. Americans had to wait until the fall for the Samsung Galaxy S II. 

The Samsung Galaxy name is so popular Samsung has recently trademarked the names Galaxy Rite, Heir, Awaken and Axiom.

Samsung in 2011 was the top smartphone maker, selling one million smartphones more than iPhones.  We can expect many more innovations this year.  The Samsung Galaxy S II was the named the top best smartphone of 2011 by numerous reviewers.

The Samsung Galaxy S II line of smartphones and latest model Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets will be updated to Android 4.0 sometime in the first quarter of this year.

When it was first introduced the Samsung Galaxy S II was priced over $200. Now you can get a Samsung Epic Touch 4G for as low as $49.99 with a new contract (BUY). The slightly smaller AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II goes for $89.99 at Amazon for new and renewing customers (BUY). The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II is still selling on Amazon for $199.99 (BUY).   Verizon Wireless did not offer a Samsung Galaxy S II but offered the Android ICS Samsung Galaxy Nexus,  Verizon Wireless sells the Nexus for $299 with a contract.   Amazon Wireless on January 26, reduced the price of the Galaxy Nexus for new contracts to $99.99.  LetsTalk and  Wirefly offer some discounts.

The price drops could me a new modes are coming out soon.

Reviewers all found some similar excellent features such as a Super AMOLED 4.52" touchscreen, excellent battery life, good-to-great camera, faster dual-core processor and good data speeds.

The Samsung Galaxy S II repeatedly was ranked highest by reviewer after reviewer.  It received top scores for the super AMOLED 4.5" touchscreen, fast 4G network, cameras, phone functions and media capabilities.

In Korea Samsung is launching pink limited edition Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Samsung Galaxy S II to celebrate the sale of 5 million Samsung Galaxy S II smartphones in Kore alone. It looks like it comes with a mirrored makeup kit and some matching blush, lip gloss and what every girl loves coupons. This model definitely won't be getting a pink slip from the female Korean consumer base because hot pink is just plain hot. There will be only 2,012 models available for sale while supplies last.
