Nokia showed off the 41MP camera smartphone the Nokia PureView at Mobile World Congress running Symbian. Windows Phones should be getting the same super camera technology, soon.
Nokia's Jo Harlow told said that a Windows Phone with a PureView camera will not take long to make but did not give an exact date.
Some speculate that a PureView Windows phone could be available with the release of Windows Phone 8.
Nokia claims that PureView " takes every bit of image goodness captured by a 41 MP sensor and Carl Zeiss lens and turns it into beautifully detailed 5 MP photos and Full HD videos." Photos are shot in a second, even in low light, and shared instantly with friends."
The technology offers "zoom and zoom again" as well as HD video with full sound.
The large sensor enables pixel oversampling, meaning the combination of many pixels into one perfect pixel.
