Windows Phones to Smoke Out iPhone, Droid Bionic, Galaxy Nexus, S II Again?

Windows Phone Smoke OUtIt's a shoot out again at the Microsoft Corral with another smoke out, losers are winners. Winners don't get a phone but a svelte ultra thin Windows notebook computer . While losers can get a free Windows Phone if ready to give up their current model.

All you have to do is go into a Microsoft store then tell an associate that you are ready take the challenge. You can only enter once. The contest ends March 29 or when each store’s 10 allotted prizes have run out.

Win and you take home a special edition HP Folio 13 ultrabook engraved with the Hunger Games movie title and District 12 insignia. Lose and you get a free Windows Phone, as long as you’re willing to toss your current handset in the recycling bin.

The rules say that you have  beat one in a series of five challenges:

  1.  Pocket-to-Picture-to-Post.
  2.  Real-Time Information with Live Tiles.
  3.  Using the People Hub to Stay in Touch with the People You Care About Most.
  4. Updating Your Status Across Multiple Social Networks.
  5. Local Scout .
As we noted when the contest were run at CES, the Windows Phone software makes the task easy.  However, a few total geeks with fast slick fingers were able to beat Windows Phones at a few tasks.  The BlackBerry owner didn't fare well in the original tests, if you have an old BlackBerry and don't want to buy a new smartphone this may be your chance.
On the other hand if you want an ultrabook and are quick on the touchscreen, you could win a new ultrabook worth over $1000.00
