Wi-Fi enabled tablets are surely the most popular and Samsung will be launching two new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Wi-Fi tablets on April 22, and May 13.
The Galaxy Tab 2 Series are 1.2GHz dual-core tablets running the latest version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Features include IR for universal remote use, TFT (PLS) screens, microSD slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.2MP cameras, front facing cameras, GPS, stereo speakers, USB host, 3.5mm ear jack and 30 pin connector.
The Smart Remote App and built-in IR Blaster turns the Tab 2 into a universal smart remote, helping users easily find their favorite shows.
The Galaxy Tab 2 7" is priced at $249.99, has a 1024x600 WSVGA screen, 8GB internal storeage and weights .76 lb.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" is priced at $399 has as 1280x800 WXGA screen, 16GB internal storage and weights 1.28 lb. Preorders will start on May 4.
.The new Tab 2 7" will cost $249.99 and the 10.1' will cost $399.99 for 16GB. These tablets are at least $100 less than the original Galaxy Tab tablets. However, they don't beat the cheapest 10" tablet of this year and last year the 9.7" 1.2GHz dual-core HP TouchPad aka ImmortaPad which is now selling for $219.00 at PCConnectionExpress.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablets will be sold at Best Buy, Amazon and Office Depot.
The Samsung GALAXY Tab 2, along with assorted accessories, also will be available for sale at nationwide Office Depot retail locations beginning April 22.
