iPhone & iPad Tragedy

In China, a seventeen-year-old boy sold his kidney so that he could buy an iPhone and an iPad reported news agencies.

Five people have been charged in the crime.  The boy now suffers from renal deficency.  According to Chinese news agency the kidney broker received around $35,00 and paid the boy $3,500.  He split the rest with the doctor, hospital contractor and others involved.

A defendant He Wei was broke due to gambling debt and another trolled chat rooms looking for a donor.s to find the boy.

The boy from the very poor province of Anhui and couldn't afford the devices which combined cost over $1,00.  When his mother asked him how he got the money, he told her, hes old his kidney.

China banned the trading of human organs in 2007.

In the United States, hot stolen smartphones created a huge black market which the industry is trying to stop by creating a database of stolen phones.
