MetroPCS has joined the high-price data train for LTE data plans, increasing prices and throttling lower priced 4G LTE data plans. Contrary to headlines the unlimited data plans have not be axed or wiped out, just repriced and changed for 4G LTE.

MetroPCS added an extra $1o the monthly fee for unlimited 4G LTE data plan making it $70 a month which includes unlimited texting, data, email and either MetroStudio video or Rhapsody unlimited music.
The new $60.00 plan that includes Rhapsody is capped at 5GB of 4G LTE data and users speed will be reduced after 5GB of data. The $50 plan includes 2.5GB of data. The $40 includes 250MB of data.
Previously, MetroPCS offered unlimited data on its $40 and $50 plans, but capped multimedia streaming at 100 MB on the $40 plan and 1 GB on the $50 plan.
