Samsung Glaxy S III OlympicThose who have been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S III now have an idea of when it will be announced, which is May 3, in London and be promoted during the London 2012 Olympic Games.  Without an official announcement, we can't tell if the release date will in time for the games, but surely there will be plenty of promoting going on.

Samsung already has a competition in place to send winning video bloggers to the Olympics, therefore we can all assume without any help from conjecturatti, that Samsung will be activity marketing on an Olympic scale all its is smartphones, and now especially the Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note.

Samsung is looking for enthusiastic personalities to explore London and be named Samsung Global Bloggers. Each Samsung Global Blogger will then show the world what they have discovered via their very own video blog.  The deadline to enter is April 29.  Therefore we know Samsung will be promoting the video features of its smartphones.

The invitation to the "unpacked" event May 3 say, "come meet the next Galaxy."

Other rumors suggest that there will other launch events in New York City, Seoul and Dubai as well as live streaming video on the Samsung Mobile Facebook page.

Reportedly, the the new Galaxy S III will come in blue or black and be the official device of the 2012 Olympics.  We find this a weird statement because the official device of the Olympic games has always been a torch.  There will be models in 16GB or 32GB options and one concept phone is said to have a quad-core processor 1.5 GHz Exynos processor with built-in 4G LTE.
