While we are waiting to hear when the Droid Incredible 4G LTE will be released, Verizon Wireless has updated its Droid Does ad campaign with a new commercial while the RAZR is promoted for Mother's Day.
To features highlighted in the ads are battery life, voice commands, video chat and a powerful connection. The new "Droid Does" commercial shows only Motorola Droid products all of which are named in Wireless and Mobile News' top best Android an' Droid smartphones now and later: the Droid 4, Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX (videos follow).
The Droid commercial asks:
Does your phone give you all day battery life?
Droid does.
Does it launch apps by your voice, while learning your voice?
Does it do turn by turn navigation?
Droid does.
With Verizon, America's largest 4G network and Motorola.
Whatever you want to do, Droid does.
Does your phone have the latest version of Android 4.0 ICS?
Droid due soon...
Recent leaked screenshots suggest that Motorola is in the process of testing updates for the Droid RAZR/MAXX with a possible May 21 release date.
The Droid RAZR price has been reduced to $99 for a Mother's Day promotion where a mother cries while her daughter shows how a Droid RAZR will do Skype video chat. Verizon spokesman Paul Rodriguez also shows the Droid RAZR as a great Mother's Day gift. The best gift you can give your mother is a powerful connection and suggests Skype video in the commercial that ends with him saying "Hola Mama."
The Verizon Wireless online pricing for the Droid RAZR beats the upgrade price at Amazon.com, but not the Amazon new-customer price of $49.99.
We are still wondering what happened to the Droid Incredible 4G LTE release date. Since it is first Android 4.0 ICS smartphone from HTC on the Verizon network, we can speculate that it is network or testing related. The longest waits and delays, however, were for the first 4G LTE smartphone from Verizon Wireless the HTC ThunderBolt and the first 4G LTE smarpthone from Motorola the Droid Bionic.
