We received a notice from Verizon Wireless confirming the latest Droid LTE devices that will be updated for global roaming. There were leaks recently suggesting global use of the HTC Rezound. However along with the HTC Rezound the Drid RAZR series will also be updated with global features.
Verizon spokesperson Albert Aydin confirmed the following:
"This summer, Verizon Wireless will be updating the following 4G LTE smartphones for global use.
- HTC Rezound.
- DROID RAZR by Motorola.
- DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola
- DROID 4 by Motorola"
Verizon will recieve notification hen the software update is available for each device.
After the software update, customers will be able to take their smartphone overseas and use voice service in more than 220 countries and receive data in more than 205 countries.
All of the soon-to-be global smartphones are Verizon's top best Android smartphones now an' later.
Before traveling outside the United States, customers will need to add a Global feature that fits their travel needs. For additional information about global features, customers can visit www.verizonwireless.com/global.
