Droid Incredible 4G LTE Release Date Struck by "Lightening"?

Droid Incredible 4G LTEThe Droid Incredible 4G LTE was announced in May.  Many are wondering what happened to the stepbrother to the HTC ONE X/S?

A leaked screenshot from Verizon Wireless' MAP systems showed a May 31 release date and price of $149.99.   Some conjecturatti are speculating that like the HTC One X and HTC One S the Droid Incredible 4G LTE could have been stuck in customs due to being checked due to the ITC exclusion order.

After many mishaps with release dates that were pushed back, Verizon Wireless stopped announcing the exact release date of premier smartphones until a few days before the actual release, with an announcement usually on a Tuesday for a Thursday launch.

The Samsung Galaxy S III starts preorder, today on June 6.  Samsung has masterminded a massive marketing ploy across the carriers and a new Droid Incredible would steal the Galaxy S3's thunder (not to be confused with the HTC ThunderBolt the first 4G LTE smartphone that came out last year.)

A major difference between the Droid Incredible 4G LTE and the S3 is that the Droid Incredible 4G LTE has a 4"screen as opposed to the 4.8" phablet screen.

We were hoping the Droid incredible 4G LTE would be released on the third birthday of the original Droid Incredible that sold out within a few weeks of its release date in late April 2010.

To compete with the $199 Samsung Galaxy S3, Verizon Wireless may have priced it at $149.99 after a rebate.  Conjecturatti believe that the price point has been confirmed.

Whenever the Droid Incredible 4G LTE arrives, it will have missed the Verizon Wireless double 4GL LTE data deal that ended at just before midnight on June 6.

Authors Note: Some people thought that lightening was a misspelled word,  It was in fact, a pun regarding the lightening of the release date issue.  We're been through so--- many delayed release dates, it gets hard to take them seriously any more.
