HTC EVO 4G LTE Google Wallet Stolen Due 2 NFC SNAFU

GoogleWalletMany people bought the well- reviewed HTC EVO 4G LTE because it came with  Google Wallet  Now it looks like their Google Wallet is penniless due to a compatibility snafu.

Google Wallet uses NFC to pay in the store by tapping your phone to a paypass reader at places such as 7 Eleven, CVS, Jack-in-the-Box, Walgreens, Macy's, RadioShack and Jamba Juice.

It turns out that NFC does not function on the HTC EVO 4G LTE. There have been subscribers who were not able to access Google wallet or set up accounts.  Some some received an alert stating "Unfortunately, Google Wallet has not been certified in your country or on your device/carrier."

Google said that it will be able to resolve the problems with the software update. Google is collaborating with Sprint and HTC on an upgrade.  There is no set update schedule.

Previously there were security problems with Google Wallet, where if someone found your phone they could use your Google Wallet credits.
