Our friends overseas are buying the Samsung Galaxy S III in record numbers, while American smartphone buyers are curious as to when the new superphone from Samsung will be released.
As we predicted previously, the family aspect of the phablet is shown in Samsung's latest video demo of the product, "A Day in the Life"(video follows). Analysts are beginning to suggest that depending on the next iPhone, this new superphone from Samsung may beat-out the iPhone.
Update 06/04/12 3:02 pm PDT: We've updated this article to include the recent news obtained today including the latest announcements from Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Spint and U.S. Cellular.
Earlier reports suggested a June 20 release date in the United States for the Samsung Galaxy S III, here's the latest:
- Verizon Wireless announced that preorders will start at 6/6 at 7:00am EST. The models starting at $199.99 for 16GB will come with a 1.5GHz dual-core processors.
- U.S. Cellular announced early on Monday 6/4 that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be available for preorder on June 12 when pricing will be announced and will be in stores in July. These models will have a 1.5GHz dual-core processors with 2GB of RAM.
- Both Sprint and T-Mobile will begin selling the S3 on June 21. Preorders will start on June 5 for Sprint with no announcement about preorders from T-Mobile, yet. 16GB models will cost $199.99 and 32GB models will cost $249.99 with contracts.
- AT&T will start preorders on June 6 and only sell the 16GB model for $199.99.
- At 9:00 pm PDT Sunday evening we received an email from Samsung that AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless will release the Samsung Galaxy SIII starting at $199 in June. "Exact pricing and retail availability will be announced by each of the five carriers in the coming weeks." It is not clear yet, if all U.S. models will have a quad-core processor. The U.S. Cellular model will have a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. All models will have the same new "S" super features.
- In Australia during a webcast from Vodaphone it was leaked that Samsung will begin its tour of the United States on June 20.
- The Samsung Galaxy S III in numerous configurations is going through the FCC. Versions for T-Mobile and AT&T have already appeared. The most recent appearance is model SCH-1535 with Verizon bandwidth at the FCC.

It's deja vu all over gain with the phabulous phablet phamily aspect as kids and family are shown throughout the video. Daddy plays a game with his daughter in his arms, and she falls asleep. Mom is shown using it while cooking. The the whole family gathers about the Samsung Galaxy S III connected to a Samsung Smart TV via allshare.
After Samsung Mobile USA chided Apple's iPhone for lining-up customers. Fifty Samsung Glaaxy S III buyers queued up outside a BASE mobile phone store in Berlin.
Francisco Jeronimo, an IDC analyst based in London said "This [S3] is likely be one of the most sold smartphones this year, though the real test will come when the next iPhone is launched."
A spokesman for Vodafone U.K. said "In the two years that we've been offering pre-orders, it's the most pre-ordered Android device we've had in our line-up."
In Australia at the Samsung Galaxy S III launch held at the Sydney's Capitol Theatre the audience was serenaded by Bach and Vivaldi music.
In American, Verizon Wireless customers are certain that the Samsung Galaxy S III will not arrive before the 4G LTE double deal ends.
