Microsoft Surface RT Tablets - Sold-Out - How to Get - Commercial or Home Use?

By Lynn Walford 10/22/2012 Tweet

Microsoft Surface RT Tablets Sold Out How to Get Commercial or Home Use?It could be a time for Apple to eat its heart out, Surface with Windows RT is sold-out and backordered for 3 or 1-3 weeks with the black touch cover.

The new  commercial which appears below shows how the Surface tablet works, the touchscreen easily connects to the keyboard while there's a lot of dancing.

Microsoft will be giving an announcement later this week, there may be a chance you can  reach a Surface before anyone else by going to Microsoft Store this Friday.  We called our local store and were told that they will have some Surface RT tablets in stock but the associate said he was not sure how many would be available on a first come, first served basis.

Preorders began on October 16. The original news release stated "the company announced a special limited-quantity preorder for Surface with Windows RT"

The market for Windows Surface RT is business enterprise.  We talked to one IT special who ordered the table to test run with enterprise apps and  for Microsoft Office use. The commercial markets it to business and students.

Preorders on Microsoft's website can be reviewed, updated, or canceled at any time before preorder items are released. Therefore you can preorder one now and if you do buy one at a store you can cancel the order.

Surface RT has two choices of cases that work as keyboards called touch or type covers.Touch Cover is a thin and ultra-light dual keyboard cover with a spill-resistant surface. While the Type Cover has more  traditional keyboard in small form factor.
