Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2 Grade in Interactive Classrooms

Galaxy Note 10.1The Samsung Smart School Solution has been deployed in Memphis Tennessee’s Geeter Middle School. It will launch around the world to 27 countries, including the United States, China, and France.

Samsung Smart School is a platform for teaching to engage in one-to-one learning. The system uses interactive whiteboards and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets with S Pens.

For the pilot, Samsung is supplied a sixth grade math class at Memphis’ Geeter Middle School with a Samsung Smart School  package.

The classroom was outfitted with 35 GALAXY Note 10.1 tablets, a 65-inch interactive whiteboard and a wireless printer. From the video it looks like keyboards are also being used along with S Pens.

"Attention class stop using your tablets, I'm locking the screen," a teacher can say and it will lock all the screens and hopefully the students will pay attention.

The Smart School system offers:

  • Interactive Management  that allows teachers to post on the screen, share their own or a student’s screen  and monitor student progress in real-time.
  • Learning Management  teacher can show e-textbooks, apps assignments, notices and forums for extracurricular activities where students can join in.
  • Student Information a management tool for teacher to take attendance, post report cards and other student information.

Readers do you think this kind of learning is best for students? The parents now will be begged to get them Samsung Galaxy Note 10.2 tablets.

  1. I'm a teacher and I can confirm it's getting harder and harder for kids to pay attention. They sneak phones in under the desk and will watch anything that is a tablet or computer. People skils are gone. I would love one of the classrooms. However in a poor neighborhood these kids won't have time at home to practice.

  2. I'm a student and I would love a classroom like in the video. I think hour articles are too long and hard to read. I don't like reading or writing as much as producing videos.

  3. I can't get my teenager to unplug. He constantly texting, tweeting or watching videos. I like the idea that ths students are writing with that pen thing, maybe they will learn to at least write well.

  4. As a teacher, I would very much like a classroom like this. Saying that "people skills are gone", because pupils sneak phones in is inaccurate. What they are actually doing is networking - one of the most vital people skills of today.

  5. Kids today can't read or write due to technology. It's our own fault. They text with strange spelling and think an easy is like a text message. It's ruining their brains. I can't wait to retire.
