The Samsung Galaxy Note II is expected be launched in a few days. Samsung is putting its marketing machine into high gear before the New York City star-studded Samsungtravaganza on Wednesday October 24.
Kanye West will be performing and fans are invited to enter a contest for a chance to attend the event. Also featured will be Tommy Trash, Hudson Mohawke and DJ craze. So far, details are sparse, just an announcement on the Samsung Facebook page. Also at the event will be Chupis Starzz.
The post says "Big news deserves a big celebration. Get ready to welcome the Galaxy Note II with an exclusive performance by Kanye West—and stay tuned, because our NYC fans will have the chance to attend."
Samsung is heavily promoting the Samsung Galaxy Note II, too. The Samsung social media team is "talking" up the Note 2 on Facebook with tips and teasing the invites to the NYC event. There is a Note Maker gallery to send greetings to Facebook and Twitter friends. You can get up to $300 for your old phone, especially if it is a recent smartphone.
Leaked screen shots today suggest that the release date for Samsung Galaxy Note IIT-Mobile will also be on October 24 with a contract price of $299. The Note 2 will be launched on Sprint on Friday. It is still possible that Verizon and AT&T will release or announce its Samsung Galaxy Note II models this week.
Samsung has opened new Samsung Studio stores in the Garden State Plaza mall in New Jersey as well as Westfield Topanga Mall and the Beverly Center mall in the Los Angeles area.

The S Pen is very handy, in fact on the original Samsung Galaxy Note, I wrote an entire article with an S Pen at the beach. Compare the Samsung Galaxy Note II vs original SG Note.
Seriously Samsung? We have waited so long. There are 10's of thousands of us who just want to throw our money at you. And now you give us Kanye West?? Why must you torture your customers and fans at every turn?!?
I just want a freaking pre-order for AT&T.
has anyone figured out it's a new Samsung Galaxy Note will fit in a pants pocket? I think it would be imperative saying to have one hanging out of your front pocket. I can just think what the girls will say to me is that the Samsung Galaxy Note to in your pocket or are you just videoing your crouch?
No the ladies will say is that a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
I've been dead too long to be Ms.Quoted.
“It's not the menin your life that matters, it's the life in your men.”
they whole point of having a Samsung Galaxy Note II is that you don't have to party with anybody, you just text, Facebook and email your life on the Note 2.
You don't need to see Kanye in person, you can stream him to your HD TV.
I'm fat enough and my pockets are big enough to put a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and even a Nexus 7 in them. How does that impress you ladies?
May where are you? We can S Beam each other until our Notes vibrate into complete bliss...
Dan:
Mmmmmmm, I'm impressed with your big pockets, your big phablets and big Nexus.
I'd love to touch your touchscreen, play with your S Pen and give you Burst Shots, Share Shots, Pop Up your Note, Pop Up your Browser with a Quick Command. Your' an Easy Clip, All Share and Group Cast kind of guy.
We have only one problem I've been dead for since 1980.
Why don't you come up and see me some time? In the other Galaxy?
Samsung really knows how to throw a party. I've been to the Samsung Galaxy S3 event and it was top-of-the-line, way cool and worth the price of the SG S3.
I'm going to way for the Nexus 4 or LG Optimus 2 to see which one I like better. The Nexus 4 should be faster.
I do like the S Pen, but I won't let anyone I don't know touch it--that means you May.
I'm going to wait until after Christmas, then try out the Nexus 4, LG Optimus G and anything else close. Then I'm going to decide which one I like the best. That is unless there is big Black Friday deal on the SG Note 2 that I can't resist.
