Droid RAZR M, HD, MAXX Tips & Tricks: How-to Special Tools

RAZR HD Here are some great tips and tricks Droid RAZR M, Droid RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD along with video demonstrations.

The Droid RAZR M, HD and MAXX HD all have pretty much the same software.  The differences of the devices are the hardware and sizes of the screen and batteries.

Here are WiMo News' Top Best Tricks and Tips for Droid RAZR HD, RAZR M and RAZR MAXX HD:

  • To get started quickly, tap Apps> Help for interactive tutorials.
  • To quickly change common smartphone settings, swipe the home screen right to go to Quick settings. To learn more about each setting, tap in the upper right.
  • Conserve your monthly data by connecting  to Wi-Fi . TapApps > Settings > Wi-Fi, then tap the switch atthe top to turn Wi-Fi and search for networks.
  • Reboot - If your Droid RAZR HD  becomes unresponsive, reboot—press and hold both the Power key and the Volume Down key for about 10 seconds.
  • To quickly change common smartphone settings, swipe the home screen right to go to Quick settings. To learn more about each setting, tap in the upper right.
  • To show which apps are using the most data, tap Apps > Settings > Data.
  • Tell your smartphone what you want—tap Apps > Voice Commands.
  • As well as Voice Commands, you can also tap the microphone in a search window or tap the microphone on a keypad.
  • To Synchronize- On your computer, upload contacts to your Google™ account at www.google.com/contacts.On your smartphone, tap Apps > Settings > Accounts & sync, choose your Google™ account, then check Sync Contacts. You can also see these contacts at www.gmail.com.

The most important thing to know is that Motorola clearly states that you must use the special too that comes with the Droid RAZR M/HD/Maxx to open the microSD and SIM slots on the sides of the phones.

    I used a safety pin to open the microSD slot, I hope I didn't ruin it.

    The Smaractions can be confusing at first. The widgets and homescreens should be programmed the way you like them.

  3. The battery life on the RAZR HD is better than the Nexus 4. The 4G LTE is very enticing. I love my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but hate the battery...

  4. I find that the voice actions works really well. I've stopped typing all together. Love the voice stuff. I'm using it now.

  5. No one comes close to the battery power of the Droid HD RAZR MAXX. I just wish I could remove it.
