Motorola has announced a developer edition of the Atrix HD.
The Atrix HD will be a supported device in the Bootloader Unlock program. It has the same features and specs as the Atrix HD but allows the customization offered by an unlockable bootloader.
Currently, the Photon Q 4G LTE, DROID RAZR M(Developer Edition), DROID RAZR HD(Developer Edition CDMA-LTE), MOTOROLA RAZR HD (Rest of World -UMTS/LTE), MOTOROLA RAZR HD (Rogers Canada - UMTS/LTE) and MOTOROLA RAZR i are supported by the Bootloader Unlock site.
In order to unlock your device, you need to agree to important legal terms, which can be found on the next page. Agreeing creates a binding legal agreement, so be sure to read them carefully.
You should only unlock the bootloader if you’re comfortable with the process and know exactly what you’re doing, since you will be voiding the warranty and risking data and functionality loss.
Carriers are very leery of unlocking who loaders while many enthusiasts believe it is their right.
