Samsung ATIV smart PC @ AT&T 11/9 Release Date

ATIV SmartPCAT&T and Samsung will start selling on November 9 (Friday), the  Samsung ATIV smart PC for $799.99. It's a notebook that breaks apart and turns into a tablet. As an added bonus AT&T will then give the customer $100 off the device when they purchase any Samsung Galaxy smartphone with a contract and qualifying voice and data plans.

The Windows 8 Samsung ATIV smart PC  has an 11.6-inch HD PLS display, 64GB of internal storage memory and a microSD card slot to support up to an additional 32GB of memory and the Intel Atom dual-core processor, up to 1.5 GHz.  The keyboard detaches to turn the notebook into a touchscreen tablet.

Windows 8  can be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro). It is also backward compatible and supports all existing software and applications that run on older windows OS such as  Windows 7, Vista, and XP.  Data connectivity can be purchased via many AT&T plans. Update 11/9/12: According to the AT&T website it will connect to Limited 4G LTE availability in select markets. 4G speeds delivered by LTE, or HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul, where available.  There is also a promotion that you get $100 off when you sign a two-year contract for a data plan.

  • Stand Dock – charges when docked,  built-in USB port and Ethernet (RJ45) port to connect the ATIV smart PC to LAN and various USB peripherals.

    • I pre-ordered the Ativ Smart PC Pro about a week ago. Any idea when that will be coming out? I can't wait!

      And do you have any idea if the Smart PC sold by ATT will have the S Pen? If not, then I see little reason to purchase the tablet from ATT.
