Motorola has updated its Android software update page. After excluding the Motorola Atrix 4G, earlier this year, they have updated some details of the planned Android updates for the end of this year and beyond.
The first good news is that the Motorla Atrix HD rollout to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will begin in December of this year. Popular Verizon Wireless models to that will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be the Droid RAZR, Droid RAZR/MAXX, Droid 4 and Droid Bionic. Some of these models appear in the best smartphones of 2012 Review of Reviews from WiMo News.
There is also good news for Motorola Xoom (3G/LTE) tablet owners there will be update in the first quarter of 2013.
Here's what we know so far:
- Motorola ELECTRIFY 2 (XT881) will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1).
- ELECTRIFY M (XT901) Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) upgrade to begin in Q1 2013.
- DROID RAZR (XT912)ICS (Android 4.0.4) rollout began in June 2012. Will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1).
- DROID RAZR MAXX (XT912) ICS (Android 4.0.4) rollout began in June 2012. Will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
- DROID 4 (XT894) ICS (Android 4.0.4) rollout began in August 2012.Will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
- DROID BIONIC (XT875)ICS (Android 4.0.4) rollout began in October 2012. Will be upgraded to Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
I'm still waiting for ICS for the Motorola Atrix 4G.
When will these updates take place?
you'll most likely have to update your phone thru Motorola device manager on your pc or Mac just connect usb cable to you're computer and device make sure to have internet connection on you're pc and it will download and install your updates automatically it's simple to install to you're computer also just download from Motorola mobility site but at&t Motorola devices has to get there updates this method...... .
