Best Smartphones: HTC 8x, Droid DNA, HTC EVO 4G LTE & HTC One X

In our round-up of the best smartphones of 2012, HTC made a few appearances. It's interesting to note that many the top HTC smartphones of the year, came out earlier this year.

One wining model is the highly rated Windows Phone HTC 8X for which HTC being a neighbor to Microsoft, does very well. For audio fans the Beats Audio adds quality to the sound of the smarpthone and is a nice feature for music enjoyment. Many reviewers like the HTC Sense UI for it's ease of use. HTC, last year, had two smarpthones appear in the top ten best hottest smartphones of 2011, the HTC Rezound and HTC EVO 3D.

5. HTC 8X (T-Mobile) 4.HTC 8X (AT&T) - this Windows 8 Phone has been highly discounted and received good to excellent ratings with an average score of 4 out 5. The HTC 8X is Windows Phone 8 with a 4.3” HD 720p screen, Beats Audio, Windows compatible, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera, front camera, Wi-FI and Bluetooth.. Launched in time for the holiday shopping season, Amazon has reduced the price of the 16GB model down to one cent with contract for the AT&T version. Buy HTC 8X from Amazon. Wirelfy is selling the T-Mobile HTC 8X with a contract for $129.99 Wirefly has also reduced the price of the HTC 8X from Verizon Wireless. The Verizon Wireless version was launched later and not included in the top smartphone survey.

Droid DNA average score of 4 out of 5- The DROID DNA by HTC is the first smartphone to feature a 5" 1080p HD super LCD 3 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection at 440 pixels per inch (PPI). Features include Beats Audio, HTC Sense 4, 8MP camera, Wi-Fi hotspots, Wi-Fi, 1.5GHZ quad-core processor and Wirefly has reduced the price of the Droid DNA and gives $40 bill credit on a new Share Everything Plan.

2. HTC EVO 4G LTE average score of 4.03 out of 5, this Android smartphone was liked by reviewers for fast 1.5GHz dual-core processor, camera, kickstand, admirable call quality, dedicated camera button and large touchscreen. It was introduced in the spring Amazon Wireless now sells for one cent with a new account.

1. HTC One X ( &+) average score of 4.22 out of 5.The first version was delayed due to a patent battle with Apple. The latest version the HTC One X + with Android Jelly Bean, has more power with quad-core processor. The HTC One X + is backorderd on Amazon where it is discounted to $169.99 for new and renewing accounts.
