Nexus 4 Short Supply Blame Go Round & Nexus 5 Specs?

Nexus5Here we go round the blame game for the short supply of the cheapest and what many contend is the best unlocked Android smartphone around, the Nexus 4.  Then we add on top of our Nexus sundae some saucy Key Lime pie-eyed rumors.

The Nexus 4 sold-out on the day it was released and is continually in short supply. No one seems to want to take responsibility for why. As we stated previously, the demand seems to be high because it is reasonably priced and developers need the latest version of Android to develop apps. Read review, see tips. The Nexus 4 was named one of the top smartphones of 2012.

Now a Korean news paper says that the factory is producing as expected. An LG official said "there is no problem in supply.

He also said (translated via Google Translate "For the next reference phone, the Nexus 5 will showcase next month, some rumors "unfounded," said LG Electronics official dismissed.

The Google translation seems to infer that there are rumors of a Nexus 5 being introduced at Mobile World Congress in February in Barcelona.  (Korean readers, please let us know what it really  means).

It also many mean that the rumors are not true.  It would seem strange to have a Nexus 5 when the Nexus 4 is going strong.

Meanwhile the Telegraph in the U.K reported that LG hinted that it working n the Nexus 5... "LG Nexus 4 is just "he first of many" products LG is working on with Google," SVP James Fischer said at CES. He also said that LG will launch new products at Mobile World Congress next month.

Then the conjecturatti went work saying that production has slowed on the Nexus 4 so that LG could produce the Nexus 5 with a more powerful 2GHZ quad-core processor and Android Key Lime Pie.  However, Google has not introduced Key Lime Pie, yet.  The next Google event is Google I/O May 15-17.

Another rumor from a Korean forum suggests that the Nexus 5 have a 5" HD screen, NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, 13MP camera and 3MP front facing camera.
