There's nothing like a leaked photo or bogus video to get smartphone phablet phans wanting more. A Picasa photo shows whatt some want to believe is then next Samsung Galaxy smartphone - the Samsung Galaxy S IV, (yeah sure). Then there are some other rumors that fit with possible announcements and release dates of the next flagship Galaxy S smartphone.
PhotoShopped without a Calendar?
The latest photo candidate shows a larger screen, curved edges, standard home button and a thinner bevel. You could play with PhotoShop and get this kind of photo very easily. There is one problem we see with this Picasa photo, the date "Monday, April 22." It would mean that it was from the past or the future.
In 2013 April 22 is on Monday, while in 2012 April 22 was on a Sunday. What kind of calendar or date is he using? If it were a photo of real Samsung Galaxy S IV it would have a more recent date, if the clock was working. Labeled Galaxy S IV GT-I9500 Product Image, the "photo" was uploaded on December 27 by a student named Desmond Ma who attends Diocesan Boys' School and lives in Hong Kong. We can't figure how a student in Hong Kong could get such a rendering. Most sites marked this one "rumor." The Samsung Galaxy series is developed in Korea.
This is reminds us of the Samsung Galaxy S III that blew up on a "student's" dashboard in Ireland which turned out to be a hoax.
Unpack Your Samsung Rumors at the Big Event
Meanwhile, the Asia Economic news reported that Samsung Mobile will have an Unpacked event on March 22 to announce the Galaxy S 4. It supposed to be given somewhere in the United States. SamMobile predicts that the Samsung Galaxy S IV will be released on April 15, which doesn't fit with past Samsung Galaxy release dates.
Another rumor suggests an announcement at Mobile World Congress which has been debunked.
Samsung Charged with Wireless Charging?
Here are some more speculated specs. Te Samsung Galaxy S IV is reportedly "Altius J" which will come with wireless charging and 2600mAh battery. The wireless charging unit will be sold separately.
Korean Legend Lore "4" Bad Luck
In Korea, the number four is believed to be bad luck, in fact like the number 13 in the United States there is no fourth floor in Korea. This leads some to contend that the new device will not be called the Samsung Galaxy S IV.
Mo' Specs Speculated
The other suggested specs which we have seen before for the Samsung Galaxy S IV are a 4.99 or 5" inch 1080p touchscreen, Exynos 5 Octa (eight core) processor, 2GB RAM and 13MP camera. These seem plausible and in line with present trends. We can't tell when to expect the Exynos 5 Octa that was announced at CES.
Samsung secretly hides what its engineers are designing, when Samsung Galaxy S III, was developed there were several dummy units and three different sets of engineers working on the project. Engineers know how to set time....
