Earlier, this week Apple update iPhone 4S due to a battery drain problem. There have been more significant bugs reported including a way for hacker to break into your iPhone. Fixes are in the works.
Insecure Security from Lockscreen
There is a security hole that lets someone get into iPhones running iOS 6.1 functions through the emergency dial feature. If you immediately cancel a call from the emergency dial screen, continually tap the power button until the iPhone Phone App button load. Then the hacker can get into the dialer, contact list, voice mailbox, call history, messages and face time.
Apple issued this statement, "Apple takes user security very seriously. We are aware of this issue, and will deliver a fix in a future software update."
Security Exchange Fix in Works
Apple has recognize the source of a bug with iOS 6.1 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 which is causing problems synching the mobile mailbox with the server. The bug involves excessive communication with the server.
Apple said will fix the exchange problem in upcoming iOS 6.1 update. "In the meantime, you can avoid this bug by not responding to an exception to a recurring event on your iOS device," Apple reported in its support forum, "If you do experience the symptoms described above, disable then re-enable the Exchange calendar on your iOS device
- Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Select the Exchange account from your Accounts list.
- Turn the switch for Calendars to OFF.
- Wait ten seconds.
- Turn the switch for Calendars back to ON.
