U.S. Cellular will deploy more 4G LTE taking its current 61% to 87% by the end of 2013. U.S. Cellular partnered with King Street Wireless for the deployment. U.S Cellular is also offering unlimited 4G LTE* data for $40 a month, a $300 family switcher bonus, up to $100 off two new phones for a limited time (details of the deals follow).
4G LTE data with average speeds of , produces average downlink speeds of 3-6 Mbps and upload speeds of 1-3 Mbps will be launched in:
- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Omaha, Nebraska.
- Manhattan, Kansas.
- Eureka, California.
- Ukiah, California.
4G LTE highest speeds can be as much as 31Mbps down and 11Mbps up for the U.S. Cellular network.
4G LTE service will be expanded to include additional cities in Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
King Street Wireless, L.P. currently holds 700 MHz wireless spectrum in 27 states.
