Jelly Bean(JB) Updates 4 Galaxy Nexus, S2, Note, Ace Dates "Soon"

Samsung Galaxy S Jelly Bean UpdateUpdates are coming and going in the Android world.  Here's a round-up or recent update news for some of the most popular Samsung Galaxy devices with a Jelly Bean focus.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus SOON Song- According to Verizon Twitter account a rep tweeted that the Nexus will be update to Android 4.2.2 but did not state when. The all too familiar release date was "coming soon."  An XDA forum member has reported receiving an update for his Nexus. If the Nexus has been rooted, the update will work but the owner be rooted any more. Verizon tests updates thoroughly and usually sends them out  starting in small lots first.

Samsung Galaxy S II - Some European versions of the Samsung Galaxy S II received updates to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. However, Telus customers will have to wait, the update schedule has been pushed back to April.

Int'l Note Noted for Update - The International Samsung Galaxy Note was updated to Android 4.1.2, earlier in February via the Kies app and over-the-air. Updates to U.S. versions of Samsung Galaxy smartphones usually follow "soon" after European versions.

Samsung Galaxy Stellar - Verizon has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Stellar will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, starting Monday, March 4 in the afternoon.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2-  there are reportedly leaks of test updates for the Ace to Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.

Samsung Galaxy S III Update to Premium Suite - the Samsung Galaxy S III update to the premium suite has not appeared, yet in the United States.

Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III Update - Sprint has released a bug fix update for its Samsung Galaxy S III for calendar synch three-digit SMS, and new voicemail.

Google has released the binaries for Android 4.2.2 “JDQ39?  to developers which gives them the code needed to start the update process.

Android Jelly Bean 4.1 offers a better keyboard and is faster/smoother (read features). The new features in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean include gesture typing , Google Now and more.

Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 ends random rebooting and offer other improvements.

To check if an update is available  go to Settings > System > About phone > System updates.  Follow prompts to download and install the update.
