John Legere in a video on YouTube touts the latest news from his Un-Carrier announcement. Ledger says that the wireless industry was broken and he signed the contracts that kept him locked into an out dated phone. Ledger does not read out the fine print that slows only one play is truly unlimited 4G and well that can be slowed during congested times(video follows).
He says that the plans all include unlimited talk text and web. The iPhone 5 will be available April 12 with unlimited 4G FaceTime.
We were wondering how T-Mobile could claim unlimited data at $50 a month. Here's how it works when you read the fine print.
$50 Limited to 500MB at High Speeds
For $50 a month the T-Mobile plan includes up to 500 MB of high-speed data on T-Mobile's network for no extra charge. Smartphone Mobile HotSpot service included. Speeds slowed up to 2G speeds after 500 MB.
Therefore after 500MB you will be able to check your email which doesn't use that much data or can surf the web with really slow data speeds.
The $60 plan adds 2 GB to your included 500 MB of high-speed data. Smartphone Mobile HotSpot service included. Speeds slowed up to 2G speeds after 2.5 GB. The fine print doesn't show yet how many MB of Mobile HotSpot data is included, we assume 500MB as in the unlimited data plan.
$70 Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data
This plan adds unlimited Nationwide 4G data on T-Mobile's network. Includes up to 500 MB of Smartphone Mobile HotSpot (SMH) service.(Additional options available for more tethering data).
There's more: Network Management: Data traffic of postpaid plans with limited high-speed data allotments greater than 2 GB will be prioritized over other currently offered plans during periods of congestion. Service may be slowed, suspended, terminated or restricted for misuse, abnormal use, interference with our network or ability to provide quality service to other users, or significant roaming.
He left out that you have pay full price for your smartphone or if you pay $20 a month you mortgaging your smarpthone and obligated for two years. He does look nice in the magenta T-Mobile T-shirt. We're wondering if the T-Mobile spokesmodel gal in the magenta dress or on the motorcycle is has been cut from T-Mobile plans too...
