T-Mobile has officially announced via its Twitter feed that the HTC One will be released on April 24.
The HTC One is expected to cost $99 upfront with monthly payments of $20 for 24 months.
The HTC One on T-Mobile is expected to have Wi-Fi calling. An added bonus for those who order directly from T-Mobile is that you get a free HTC One car kit while supplies last.
The HTC One is very close in specs to the Samsung Galaxy S 4 except that the HTC One has a slightly smaller screen, .2GHz lower speed processor and a different style camera. Read full comparison of HTC One vs Samsung Galaxy S4.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be released on May 1 on T-Mobile. Other Samsung Galaxy S4 competitors are iPhone 5 (at end of article second image) and BlackBerry Z10 (see comparison) or even the Nexus 4.
HTC has delayed the release due to supply shortages. Samsung makes many of its own components, therefore we don't expect a big delay.
Features of the HTC One include 4.7" HD 1080p 468ppi touchscreen, 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and Ultra Pixel Camera, dual-front speakers, dual mics, 2300 mAh battery, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi, DLNA, micro USB, HDMI(with MHL adapter) and Bluetooth.
HTC Sense software includes BlinkFeed, Sense TV, Zoe camera software and music player with Beats amplifier.
