Every one is wondering when they get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S 4 in the United States. When it does arrive it will have many sensors in it for practical uses.
SG S4 Release Dates Estimated, Reported & Unlocked
We have gotten the official word of from T-Mobile that it will be available on May 1. AT&T begins preorders on April 16. We've found one source that shows Samsung Galaxy S4 expected on April 22. There have also been some leaked suggested release dates.
Independent U.S. retailer of unlocked smartphones, Negri Electronics states that Samsung Galaxy S4 has an estimated availability of April 22. You have to pay full price for the Samsung i9500 Galaxy S4 16GB LTA (Unlocked) (Black Mist) which costs $929.50 on presale. We should caution, however, that previously Negri showed earlier presale release dates for the HTC One which were continually pushed later. Release dates are dependent upon the manufacturer and suppliers.
We contacted Negri Electronics and are waiting for a response.
An internal training document to retail stores notes that the release dates may be changed and updated on April 15 but shows that AT&T will be selling the Samsung Galaxy S4 on April 26, exactly one week after the HTC One, April 19. The document confirms that May 1, will be the release date for T-Mobile while Verizon customers will have to wait until May 30. Verizon has been the last to launch Samsung Galaxy S III in 2012 about a month after the other carriers. Currently the closest Verizon competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S4 is Droid DNA.
Other Samsung Galaxy S4 competitors are iPhone 5 (at end of article second image) and BlackBerry Z10 (see comparison) or even the Nexus 4 .
The U.K. release date for EE is April 26. Negri then may be the first in the world, if you want to pay f-u-l-l price.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 is already showing signs of being the top best smartphone of the summer. It features top of line specs including 5" Full HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, 2GB RAM, 12MP camera, microSD slot, Wi-Fi and Temperature/Humidity sensors.
Special software features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 are S Beam, S Share, S Play, Smart Pause, eye-scrolling, S Heath monitoring, Home Sync, Dual Video Call, Air View/Gesture, Sound/Shot, Group Play and S Translate.
As we noted previously, it may behoove you to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S 4 to save money, have more choices, more accessories and more stable software.
Samsung recently showed that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has nine sensors that work together to improve the user experience. The sensors are power-optimized by using a Micro Controller Unit (MCU) that activates the Application 
Processor (AP) only when it is needed.
- Accelerometer - tracks the smartphone’s movement and is used as a Walking Mate and counts the number of steps a user has taken.
- Gesture Sensor - is used to detect the user hand movement for Air Gestures.
- RGB Light Sensor - measures the colors of the light source for Samsung Adapt Display to reduce eye strain.
- Proximity Sensor - when the phone is near your face it will make a direct call.
- Hall Sensor - detects if the S Cover is closed or open.
- Gyro Sensor - used for smart rotation of three axes.
- Temperature/Humidity Sensor - a small hole located at the base of the smartphone measures temperature and humidity and shows the S Health and comfort level.
- Barometer - detects atmospheric pressure and altitude at the location for S Heath Walking Mate and calculates the calories burned while walking up a hill.
- Geomanagnetic Sensor - is a digital compass that is used in map apps.
- Camera-Based Face Recognition - used for Samsung Smart Pause, which pauses a video when the user looks away and resumes when the user returns, and Samsung Smart Scroll to scroll up and down without touching.
- Voice Recognition mic used for the S Translator and S Voice Drive.
Canadians(Telus, Rodger, Bell) can preorder today and expect the Samsung Galaxy S4 to be released on April 27. Telus will have product in stores May 3rd.
The Galaxy S4 will be launched on 327 carriers in about 155 countries. The exact dates will be determined in the next few weeks.
