After many commercials bash mothers for owning iPhones, it seem Mom may really want an iPhone or iPad according to a recent survey by Rebtel.
Yes, Mom does want you to call her on the voice phone, 60.7 percent of moms said they are expecting a call from their son or daughter this Mother's Day. And they want it more than other gifts, mothers surveyed wanted voice/phone call (31.0 percent) over a hug (27.6 percent) flowers (16.1 percent), and jewelry (3.4).
- 64.3 percent of mothers claim that they always get a call from their son or daughter.
- 35.5 percent of respondents said that the communication option they are least likely to use is mail / card, with the Facebook / social networks coming in second at 22.5 percent.
The survey found that 66.7 percent of moms are expecting to receive a gift this year. In the tech gift department moms liked:
- Full-size iPad was the most desired with 30.2 percent of moms ranking it highest on their wish list.
- The iPad Mini, came in far behind at only 11.6 percent.
- For phones, moms wanted iPhones(29.1) over Android phones (11.6 )
92.6 percent of U.S. adults who plan to get in touch with Mom on Mother's Day intend to use voice/phone and 37.7 percent of those respondents said they plan to speak for an hour or more.
