iPhones and the Samsung Galaxy are the most profitable in the Galaxy reported Strategy Analytics.
Apple's iPhone was the most profitable at $7.1 billion or 57% of total profit shares of smartphones.
Samsung has the main share of profits ts $5.1 billion in operating profits which is 95% of all profits made on Android. Global Android profits were $5.3 billion. Android accounted for 43% of smartphone profits.
Samsung generates more revenue and profit from the Android platform than Google does.
Samsung won due to an efficient supply chain, sleek products and crisp marketing, the report stated.
"Samsung is, for now, the undisputed king of the global Android smartphone industry. We believe Samsung generates more revenue and profit from the Android platform than Google does. Samsung has strong market power and it may use this position to influence the future direction of the Android ecosystem.
