In the smartphone world it pays to wait a few months if you want a specific model smartphone. BlackBerry buyers can now get a substantial discount on the BlackBerry Z10 while rumors linger about the next BlackBerry the BlackBerry A10.
AT&T has reduced the price of the BlackBerry Z10 to $49.99 with a contract, a substantial discount from it's launch price of $199.99. Verizon Wireless has discounted the BlackBerry Z10 down to $99.99 with a contract. The discount is good news for buyer, but financial reports showed that BlackBerry only shipped 2.7 million BlackBerry 10 smartphone which were below estimates.After investors learned of the price drop, the price of BlackBerry shares dipped.
There is a new leaked image of the BlackBerry A10 codenamed Aristo takes BlackBerry into the pablet realm with 5" SuperAMOLED touchscreen dual-core processor and separate graphics processor. The screen is not full 1080p but 1280 x 720p.
The design is more sleek and curved than current designs. The back is reportedly similar to the BlackBerry Q10.
Recently it was revealed that BlackBerry will be making another BlackBerry Bold, running BlackBerry 7.
BlackBerry will release not more that six smartphone models at a time. CEO Heins at the shareholder meeting, asked for patience for when the company will be profitable again.
