The Droid Ultra (XT1080) stays with the original Droid styling like the Droid RAZR HD and has grown in size and will be offered by Verizon Wireless, a new leak suggests. There are also new photos and hints at features.
Evleaks reported that it will feature a 5" touchscreen Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Kevlar backing and Droid branding. Color choices will be red, black or white. It was previously reported to be ultra thin.
There reportedly will be a Droid Utlra Maxx (XT1080M) and mini (XT1030).
The 10MP camera will have an improved sensor for white balance and capture timing.
Then photos of all three models were revealed side-by-side called the Droid mini, Droid Ultra and Droid MAXX.
A leaked commercial treatment suggests a launch date of August 8. It shows the Droid Ultra will be rugged enough to withstand drops, kicked on dance floor with Kevlar and Gorilla Glass. It will have an active listening mode, to open Spotify and play music.
The MAXX may have 48 hours of battery life.
