The iPhone was the iconic first smartphone on the planet and many of its features were completely original. However, the iPhone 5S is taking it cue from many other smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S4, Android and Windows Phones.
iPhone 5S Video Feature Copied from Galaxy S 4?
9 to 5 Mac reported that the iPhone 5 will have Mogul mode found in iOS 7 beta. The mode allows videos to be captured at 120 frames per second and make slow motion possible. Similar features are already available on the Samsung Galaxy S 4.
Android Motorola Atrix Was Released Two-Years Earlier on Fingerprint Scanner.
The next iPhone may have a fingerprint scanner. The Motorola Atrix launched in spring 2011 came with a fingerprint scanner for unlocking the phone. We have a model that still works today. The fact that Apple owns fingerprint sensor company AuthenTec may mean fingerprints authenticated payments.
Camera MP Shoot-Out!
The iPhone 5S is suspected to have a 13MP camera. Currently the Lumia 1020 has a 41MP camera and the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 13MP camera, therefore the iPhone 5S is not the first in the MP category.
Colorful Cases of Nokia Lumia Copying
There are reports that the iPhone 5S will have dual-LED flash. The Nokia Lumia 925, Lumia 928 Windows Phones have a dual-LED flash as does the Lumia 1020 which has a Xenon flash supplemented with a smaller LED flash.
There have been several leaked images of the back panels of the iPhone 5C that show neon bright colors. Bright color cases were introduced on the Nokia Lumia 900 and continue with the iconic bright yellow on the Nokia Lumia 1020.
A new leak shows iPhone cases in bright red, yellow, blue and green, just like the Nokia colors. They do appear to have a little sparkle to them, something that is used on the LG Optimus G Pro.
New Blue iOS 7 & Sharing Features
We have already seen iOS 7. The blue iOS 7 background looks a lot like the TouchWiz styling of the Galaxy S 4. iOS 7 features AirDrop which is like S Beam and a similar control panel. The new icons looks like icons that go all the way back to Cleopatra.
Cheaper Model
There have been warnings that there will be less expensive iPhone model. Almost all other smartphones in the high-end range feature cheaper models. There are less expensive Nokia Lumia (521), Samsung Galaxy, Droid, HTC and even BlackBerry models.
Voice Dictation Voice of Android?
Another featured suspected is offline voice dictation on the iPhone 5S. Android Jelly Bean began offering offline voice dictation in fall of 2012.
