Let the early upgrade and LTE wars begin. AT&T launched it's zero down payment next plan it didn't require a payment up front. Now for a limited time T-Mobile will let owners get a smartphone for zero-down with 0% interest monthly payments. AT&T is reporting the fastest LTE speed and T-Mobile is gearing up to blast everyone out of the water with speeds twice as fast as the leaders.
T-Mobile calls the sale an "unprecedented deal this summer" with all devices with zero down payment. This limited-time promotion is available starting , July 27, 2013. Buyers can also sign-up for T-Mobile’s upgrade program, JUMP for $10 more a month that includes insurance for upgrades twice a year as soon as six months from enrollment, with the trade-in of the original device.
T-Mobile tested LTE in NYC and found speed as fast ans 60Mbps uploads and 18Mbps down which is much faster than most tests on current networks. Jone Legre reported that the test was at 11th ave & 21st in New York City. However, his test at 36th and 2nd Ave showed speeds as high as 20Mbps upload and 7.75Mbps down.
T-Mobile LTE is not fully deployed throughout the country therefore actual speeds may vary.
