The Nook HD+ 16GB icon with a list price of $269 is now $149.00 at Walmart with free in store pickup or ship to home with home free. This is the first time we've seen a 9" tablet cost less than $200 since the great HP TouchPad fire sale two years ago, that turned into the ImmortaPad sale of all time.

The Nook HD+ 32GB iconis going for $179.00 the best part of the these tablets is that the storage can be expanded via adding microSD card for more storage up to 64GB.

The Nook HD has a dual core processor, 16GB or 32GB of storage, HDMI connectable port (to HD TV with adapter), 9" 1920x1080 HD touchscreen, microSD card slot, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Google Play app access.

Some reviewers have called it beautifully and sturdily built. It runs the same processor as the Kindle Fire HD 8.9. It does not have front facing camera.

Barnes & Noble announced that it will no longer make color tablets which is way the prices are over $100 under the original prices.  This could be the back-to-school deal you are looking for.
