Verizon Wireless has been slow to release some popular models of smartphones while emphasizing its own Droid-branded smartphones. There are leaks of new models coming to the network.
There are also reports that a SKU for a blue HTC One was seen in the Verizon stock list. The red HTC One version will be a Sprint exclusive. An unnamed source stated that Verizon will release the HTC One on August 15 as a replacement for the larger Droid DNA. The Droid DNA is no longer being sold online at Verizon Wireless.
The Samsung SCH-i435 recently appeared on the Bluetooh SIG's website with the "SCH" coding showing for Verizon Wireless. There is also a leaked photo of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 mini with Verizon branding, next to an iPhone. There have been no reported release dates, yet. However, it can be a few weeks to a few months after a device is approved by the Bluetooth SIG before it becomes available.
Verizon announced the Droid Ultra and MAXX will be released on August 20 while mini will be available on August 29. The Moto X is also expected in late August.
Other leaked release dates in August include the LG Enact on August 15. There is no predicted release date for the Samsung Galaxy S 4 mini on Verizon Wireless, yet.
