- BBM BlackBerry Messenger for Android should be coming out soon. BlackBerry has launched a new landing page stating the that BBM is coming to iPhone and Android.
- Verizon's Moto X is now available via the Verizon Wireless website in black and white.
- A Samsung Galaxy Note III front panel leak shows that the front panel is white. The screen could be as large as 5.7". The actual device itself like the Galaxy S4 vs the SIII will just be slightly larger with a thinner bezel. It will reportedly be available from Three UK on September 16 after an announcement on September 4.
- The Samsung Galaxy Gear is already geared up for IFA. Leaks suggest the Galaxy Gear will have a 2.5"screen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4MP camera, Bluetooth, NFC, 10 hour battery and Android Jelly Bean.
- The Sony Xperiz Z1 and Mini will most likely be anounced at IFA on September 4. The Sony Xperia Z1 was formerly known as "Honami" .
- The New ZTE Warp LTE will be the next version of the ZTE Warp and the Warp Sequence.It will be reportedly coming to Boost Mobile. The original Warp is on sale($30 off) $99.99 while the Warp Sequent is on sale ($40 off) for $109.99.

- Due to growing competition from larger smartphones and the prospect of new categories such as wearable devices diverting consumer spending, International Data Corporation lowered its tablet forecast for 2013 and beyond. Tablets are predicted to reach 227.4 million units in 2013, down from a previous forecast of 229.3 million but still 57.7% above 2012 shipments.
- AT&T welcomed the Carolina Panthers as an official advocate of It Can Wait, a national campaign to end the dangerous habit of texting while driving. As a campaign advocate, the Panthers and AT&T plan to feature "It Can Wait" messages on the stadium's digital scoreboard and other screens in the venue, and through its social media channels.
