After several rumors popped-up this week that China Mobile would sell the cheaper iPhone 5C, the Wall Street Journal reported, today that people familiar with the matter indicated that China Mobile and Apple have a deal after years of negotiations. Apple has asked its supplier Foxconn to add China Mobile to the list of carriers to receive iPhone 5C shipments. China Mobile is the world's largest carrier with 700 million subscribers.
On the other hand, Bloomberg reported that Apple is "close to a deal" but there will be no announcement on September 10.

Most iPhone 5S cases should fit, except the camera hole will be bigger to accommodate two LED flash bulbs. Therefore if an older model case may have to be "trimmed" for the flash to work properly.
iPhone 5C owners won't need a colorful case, therefore, a clear or translucent case, may be the way to go.
