The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was announced last week at IFA and sales are expected to be in the millions, this year alone.
The Galaxy Note series of phablets including the original Note and Note II are a hit. Samsung sold 10 million Galaxy Note sin the first year. Sales increased 280% for the Note II because Samsung sold 28 million of them between August 2012 and September 2013.
Samsung CEO JK Sin expects to also sell over 10 million Galaxy Note 3 units. The Galaxy Note 3 can be used with the companion Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
Presales for the Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon started on Friday for $299.99 with a contract. You can buy the Galaxy Gear with it for another $299. The Verizon website states the Note 3 orders will ship by 10/10. AT&T also started presales for the Note 3 with orders to be shipped by October 1.
The case for Note 3 looks like faux leather. Samsung has been criticized previouse because its cases looked "plasticky."
Samsung's latest lines of products offer man kinds of software enhancements for users.
Samsung says that it's overall motto in design is "Make it meaningful." Samsung claims,“With the Galaxy Note 3, we found inspiration in the fashion world, borrowing elements of texture and fine detail to deliver a sense of dignity, and a smooth, comfortable fit in your hands.”
