There was short news around Instagram, iPhone trade-ins, BlackBerry and Twitter.
Insta iOS 7: Instagram has been updated for iOS 7 with bigger images, cleaner interface and round profile photos. Videos are larger and the the resolution has been increased. You can download it from iTunes.
Trade-in Values Decrease for Older iPhones: The trade-in values for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS have plummeted. The 8GB iPhone 3G is bringing in $10 or less or nothing at all from Gazelle and Next Worth. iPhone 3GS from Gazelle only bring in $10 while the 32GB iPhone 3GS is valued at $22. These models will not be updated to iOS 7. Values for the iPhone 4 for AT&T bring in the most value around $100 while the iPhone 4 from Verizon or T-Mobile can be around $60-$70. iPhone 5 models can bring the seller $200-$300 depending upon the carrier. These lower prices don't seem to have effected sale prices, yet. Since the price for a new Virgin Mobile iPhone 4 is down to $199 we suspect used models will go down in value. Average value of iPhone models is expected to drop 40% during this month.
No' Mo' T-Mo' BB: T-Mobile announced today that it plans to stop offering BlackBerry smart phones at its retail stores but will continue to sell them online and ship them directly to customers. T-Mobile reported that most BlackBerry purchases are made for business.
