PayPal Gains Brain Power

PayPal acquired mobile app payment platform Braintree for $800 million, giving it access to the mobile payment market. Braintree is used for the Uber rides and other mobile apps.

Facebook Android Edited

Facebook has updated its Android app so that users can edit Facebook posts after they have been published, add icons in status updates, see calendar events and create/share new photo albums from their Android devices. The iPhone/iPad iOS Facebook app will have published status editing, soon.

iOS Google Now Pushed

Following yesterday's massive Google app updates, it was revealed that the iOS Google  Now search app will have push notifications, alerting users of things that you may like, such as a notice that your route you are taking is clogged with traffic.

50/50 iPhone 5c/5S

Analyst Min-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities estimates that Apple sold  3.5 million - 4.5 million iPhone 5s units during its opening weekend and sold  4.5 - 5.5 million iPhone 5c models.

No BBM This Week

BlackBerry revealed that it will keep customers updated on the new plan for rolling out BBM for Android and iPhone via BBM.com and @BBM on Twitter. However, we do not anticipate launching this week."

Samsung Gears Up 4 Better Gear

A Samsung official stated that the Gear could use some more work and "lacks something special."  He said that Samsung will increase "investment for user interface and user experience." Samsung will hire more expert staff to work on it.
