Just like Apple makes iPhone buyers wait in line, those wanting use the new BlackBerry Messenger for Android may have to wait until after the six million people who signed up to be notified have activated BBM on their devices.

Although the apps are available in Google Play and the App Store, BlackBerry recommends that you download them directly from an Android or iPhone browser.
- Download BBM from BBM.com from your Android or iPhone browser.
- Once you install the app, open it, and enter your email address to put your name in line.
- BlackBerry will email you as soon as you reach the front of the line and can start using BBM.
If you already singed up for BBM.com, you can start using BBM immediately without waiting in line.
After you download BBM from BlackBerry World, the App Store, or Google Play, complete the setup wizard to start using BBM. As part of the setup, you are prompted to create a BBID or log in using an existing BBID. If you would like to set up a BBID before you download BBM, visit www.blackberry.com/blackberryid.
Remember Data plan or Wi-Fi required. Please check with your carrier for costs and restrictions. Android 4.0 and iOS 6 or higher is required.
