FreedomPop is now offering their free voice, free text and free data phone service. The free plan includes 500 MBs of data, 500 text messages, and 200 anytime voice minutes free every month for life.
The top tier FreedomPop plan includes unlimited voice and unlimited texting for $10.99 per month with 500 MB of 4G/3G data, or for fewer minutes, it's $7.99 for 500 minutes, unlimited text and 500MB data. The $10.99 plan they claim is 80 to 90 percent less than premium large carrier plans, saving over $1,000 per year. Additional data is 2.5 cents per MB.The FreedomPop phone service is only available right now using the HTC Evo Design smartphone, which is $99. Later this year, more Android phones will be available. It works over the Sprint 3G and WiMAX network. Future models may support LTE.
