Too Short to Report Wireless NewsThere was plenty of news today that was too short to report surrounding, Android, BlackBerry, Amazon, Samsung and the iPhone 5S may have motion sickness...while T-Mobile is reneging on its grandfathered plans.

Android KitKat 4.4

There's the smell of chocolate in the air, KitKat Android is tweeting teasers making many think that the next Nexus and Android 4.4 may be out by the end of October. The Google developer blog reported a change in the API which lets users set the default testing app. Yes Kitkat is the perfect treat with your Tweet.

BB Messages Strong?

BlackBerry sent out a mass email to supporters tot let them know BlackBerry will survive. Buyer can count on BlackBerry that has  "substantial cash on hand and a balance sheet that is debt free.  they are restructuring with a goal to cut expenses by 50 percent in order to run a very efficient, customer-oriented organization.  The email notes productivity, security, mobility management and social networking as reason for trusting its products.

VZW Delivers

Verizon is testing a same-day delivery service for online orders starting in Philadelphia and then in New York City, Dallas, San Francisco and Pittsburgh. For $20, Verizon will guarantee delivery of a smartphone ordered online by 7:00 pm that night.

Amazon Phone?

Rumors continue to leak that Amazon is working on a cheaper smartphone with HTC which is almost ready for sale according to the Financial Times.

Samsung Battles Bad Batteries

Samsung announced that it will replace defective Samsung Galaxy S4 batteries for free. Customers just have to bring their phones into a Samsung service center where the batteries will be replaced.

iPhone 5S Bosched by 6 Degrees of Separation - 5c

The iPhone 5S  may have motion sickness. Apps that use the accelerometer are off as much as 5-6 degrees including games and Apple' built-in level app.  The sensor has been tested to show that it's motion sensor calibration is off by Gizmodo.  Then RealityCap showed that there is new accelerometer by Bosch which has "zero-g offset."

 iPhone 5c-Making Slowed

The Wall Street Journal reported that iPhone 5C assembly companies Pegatron and Hon Hai have been ordered to reduce production.  It may be the that the colorful types, which the iPhone 5c is marketed to, don't find iPhone 5c models colorful enough or that Apple got is production orders correct the first time around.

T-Mobile Renegs on Grandfathered Plans

T-Mobile is sending out notices in the mail to those with "older plans." The company selects the closest plan and then will change in November. Customers  will get a text message to notify them when the change happens and can cancel with no penalty until 2/1/2014. Some customers have old plans as low as $2.99 T-Zones unlimited data plans that have been grandfathered for customers up to LTE.

 T-Mobile customers have been  told that people on plans from the last 5-10 years will not be getting a change or discount. The only people that will be getting a letter will be those that have T-zones or those that have a rate plan for $29.99 or lower .
