Today there was a waterfall of leaks around the Nexus, so many that it's almost official.
A Nexus 5 showed up in the Google Play store with a starting place of $349 for the 16GB model with the phrase "Capture the everyday and the epic in new fresh ways."
Features of the Nexus 5 include Android 4.4 KitKat, 4.95" touchscreen, Gorilla Glass 3, Snapdragon 800 CPU 2.3GHz, 2GB RAM and 8MP (optical image stabilization) camera, front-facing camera, NFC, Android Beam, Bluetooth, micro USB port.
The screen will have 1920×1080 resolution at 445 pixels per inch.
There a photos of boxes of product. Wind Mobile in Canada showed Nexus 5 specs in pre-registration page on Facebook.
In the past, when Nexus smartphones went on sale, Google had problems keeping up with orders and supplies.
There were also rumors that there would be new Nexus 4 models with LTE. When Google reduced the price of the Nexus 4 16GB model, earlier this fall, it sold-out.
We also suspect there will be a KitKat bar tie in with KitKat 4.4 Android.
The release data for the Nexus 5 may be October 31 or November 1. When there are these many leaks, it is usually a sign that it will be released soon.
Some people have wondered what will happening with naming scheme, because after the Nexus 5 there should be a Nexus 6 and then a Nexus 7, but there are already Nexus 7 tablets.
